Documents required to enter Transnistria.
Foreign citizens can enter Transnistria with valid identity documents intended for use abroad (foreign passport, service passport, sailor’s passport). No visa is required for entry into Transnistria.
Entering Transnistria with children.
For children to enter Transnistria, the same documents as for adults are usually required, and in some cases, a notarized consent of the parents if the child is traveling with a third person. The power of attorney must indicate the purpose of the trip, its duration, and the country of destination.
Entry to Transnistria with own vehicle
Entry into Transnistria with a personal car registered in a foreign country is permitted without filling out a customs declaration, provided that the vignette fee is paid.
Upon entry, the following documents must be presented to the customs officer:
a) a valid foreign or national passport or other documents provided by law that allow entry and stay in Transnistria;
b) the vehicle registration certificate (technical passport).
The vignette fee is paid for the following time periods:
7 days – 5 US dollars;
15 days – 10 US dollars;
30 days – 15 US dollars;
90 days – 25 US dollars;
180 days – 45 US dollars;
365 days – 80 US dollars.
Payment of customs duties can also be made in cash in the following foreign currencies: US dollar, euro, Russian ruble, Moldovan leu, Ukrainian hryvnia, Romanian leu.
Important: Keep the confirmation of payment of the vignette fee until you leave Transnistria.
How much cash can i bring to Transnistria.
When entering Transnistria, individuals are allowed to bring any amounts of cash in foreign currency and checks in foreign currency, without restrictions, provided that the financial means are declared verbally. At the same time, a written declaration of cash in foreign currency and checks in foreign currency is also provided, which can be made upon request. For example, if it will be necessary to prove the origin of the financial means to conclude a transaction. In the case of making a written declaration, no customs duties are charged.
Which goods can i bring in Transnistria without paying customs duties.
Goods for personal use may be imported into Transnistria without payment of customs duties.
Goods for personal use are considered goods (except for vehicles) intended for personal, family, household and other purposes not related to entrepreneurial activity. Goods for personal use, imported and exported within the limits of the established norms, may be declared verbally.

Conditions for entering Transnistria with medicines.
When planning a trip, you should keep in mind that different countries may have different rules and conditions for the import and export of medicines. Most often, the law states that a tourist can have as many medicines as a person or family members may need during the trip, however, some medicines may be subject to restrictions or a complete ban on import.
Therefore, before traveling, you should check that the medications you need are not included in the list of substances prohibited or restricted for introduction into Transnistria.

How long can i stay in Transnistria.
For legal stay in Transnistria, a foreign citizen or stateless person must fill out andreceive a migration card upon entry, and in the case of its automated filling at the checkpoint, receive a filled out migration card.
The period of temporary stay of a foreign citizen in Transnistria is determined by the validity period of the migration card or the validity period of the temporary residence permit.
The period of stay of a foreign citizen on the basis of a migration card cannot exceed 45 days, while the period of stay on the basis of a migration card can be extended multiple times.
It is safe to visit Transnistria.
In general, the level of crime in Transnistria is extremely low, so there are no special problems related to the safety of tourists.
